METAmorphosized....

last year was truly an exciting year, cos we were able to join in the rest of the campuses for the Metamorphosis Conference.. it was held during the last week of 2005... usu it is earlier when all of us are not having our break yet, so we can't join. me n charlene (M1) and evan managed to go down for the conference which is a 4 day stay in at PGP... personally i was rather reluctant at first to go for the camp cos it was gonna take up like almost half of my precious holidays, and i was really needing a time to rest and relax before another hectic sem of O&G and patho! but i thank God that i did go for it in the end, because i was just soooooo blessed by it! seeing and hearing how God is working in each of the campuses, being able to share wif brothers and sisters who share the same passion for God, and having the opportunity to spend precious moments with God and also being part of PROJECT X, where every single one of the conferees (yes all 400+ of us) went out to various parts of singapore to share the 4 SLs. my group went to city hall where we were able to share wif some tourists who could bring back the gospel to their homeland.. it was exciting to partner wif God in His work... 57 were added to the kingdom of God that day! praise God.. :)

b4 u get bored of listening to me go on and on and on abt meta, haha... here's wat charlene has to share abt wat she learnt:

"meta camp was truly a great experience for me. i learnt most from the street evangelism we were 'forced' to do. (i didnt really have a choice right?) ok so i was actually quite scared because it was totally out of my comfort zone. dont get me wrong i really want others to know about Christ, but all along i didnt think i'd be the one actually doing it. i was what you could say a 'selfish Christian', just get fed and pray that others will reach out. i guess God changed my perspective during meta camp. He taught me that success in witnessing is just taking the initiative to share Christ! i used to think that if the person didnt accept, i must have said something wrong, or used to wrong method. now i am convinced that i just need to TELL people about Him and He will do the rest. though none of those i shared to accepted, i know that God in His wonderful ways, will bring more people to continue the work i did for Him and hopefully they will eventually make the decision believe in Him too. ever since meta camp ended, i feel a growing desire and need to evangelise and already with a few other youth leaders in my church we share the same burden. i want to thank God so much for showing me this through meta camp, and i pray that He will continue to use to to create movements everywhere, so that everyone will know someone who truly follows Jesus! :)"

META was fun!!! if u ever do have a chance to go again... pls do go! i tink i probly cant next year liao... ;p
